The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber
The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber is a spectacular celebration of one of the most influential musical theatre composers of all time. This show brings together the greatest hits from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary catalogue, featuring unforgettable songs from iconic productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar,Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard, and more.
The concert will feature a regional cast of multi-talented singers alongside the Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra. With captivating orchestral arrangements, the production highlights the emotional power, sweeping melodies, and theatrical magic that define Andrew Lloyd Webber’s work. Audiences will be taken on a musical journey through decades of beloved classics, each number beautifully staged to honour the legacy and artistry behind his music.
This spectacular production will take the stage at the new BNZ Theatre. Sunday 3rd May 2026.

Soloists and Ensemble audition requirements (18+ years):
Must be 18 year by 20th March 2026
All voice ranges are required (SATB).
Please sing a song of your own choice. Edit the song to ensure its total length does not exceed 1.5 minutes.
Please bring your edited sheet music; an accompanist will be provided.
The use of a backing track is not permitted.
Children's Chorus (10 - 17 years):
Please sing No Matter What from Whistle Down the Wind. Music will be provided when you sign up for an audition slot. Children's en masse singing audition will be 4pm, Tuesday 10th February 2026.

Given the short rehearsal period, full commitment is expected. Please consider this before booking an audition slot. Rehearsal venue - GAPA, The University of Waikato.
