About the Show:

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage with this production by Hamilton's Fraser High School.

East High School’s basketball star/coach’s son Troy Bolton seems firmly planted in one world, when beautiful but shy brainiac Gabriella Montez moves in from another. Yet Troy and Gabriella discover a common bond in singing. The perfect way to share their connection would seem to be joining the cast of the drama club’s school musical, but at East High that is the turf of the arrogant and devious Sharpay Evans. As the star-crossed couple’s friends and even the adults involved try to coax them back into their expected roles, Sharpay and her dopey twin brother Ryan plot to ruin their audition opportunities.

The made-for-tv film is the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie produced, and the soundtrack was the most commercially-successful soundtrack of 2006 with songs that include "Breaking Free" and "We're All In This Together".

Hamilton's Fraser High School & HOS

Hamilton Operatic Society is assisting with this production to provide a link between school students and community theatre. The Society is providing technical expertise by way of a lighting designer, stage designer and director. The technical staff are mentoring students and staff from Fraser with these roles and the staff and students will run the stage management and lighting side once the show begins. The actors are also being mentored through the rehearsal process with prominent Hamilton theatre people.

Come and celebrate the next generation of Hamilton performers as they take to the stage in High School Musical!
