 In
September Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” will transform Hamilton’s Founders
Theatre into a magical world of lavishly orchestrated music, spectacular
dance and awe-inspiring songs. With its dazzling special effects and
costumes, Cats is among the most exhilarating and innovative musicals ever
staged.
Since Cats first opened on the
West End stage in 1981, it has become one of the world's best known and best
loved musicals. Cats has been presented in over twenty countries and in
about two hundred and fifty cities, including such diverse destinations as
Buenos Aires, Seoul, Helsinki and Singapore. Within two and half years of
the London opening there were productions in New York, Tokyo, Budapest and
Vienna, and the first of tour US touring productions had hit the road.

Donate cat food to SPCA
Waikato when you see Cats:
 Hamilton
Operatic Society is thrilled to have established a partnership with
Waikato SPCA
for Cats. The SPCA is placing a cat food donation bin in the foyer of
the Founders Theatre for the duration of the Cats season, and would
appreciate it if you could bring along a spare tin of cat food for the bin
when you come to see our spectacular musical Cats.
