Audition Information

Dates: Friday 9th – 11th March 2012

 

Audition venue: Clarence St Theatre, Dance Studio, 59 Clarence Street, Hamilton

 

Audition times:                

  • Children - Friday 9th March 2012, 4.00pm – 8.00pm

  • All company and dancers en masse - Saturday 10th March 2012, 1.00pm – 3.30pm

Please note:         

1. ALL dancers must attend the ‘en masse’ dancers’ audition from 1.00pm – 3.30pm, Saturday 10th March 2012 to learn a short ‘warm up’ exercise and dance routine.

2. All cast auditioning for a principal or company role should also attend the en masse dance audition call.

  • All singing/acting roles plus general company members - Sunday 11th March 2012, 9.00 am - 5.00pm

  • Call backs as required Sunday evening 11th March

Casting Workshop Notice:


William McNulty’s Dracula adapted from the Bram Stoker novel


A Carving in Ice & Hamilton Operatic Society collaboration
 

Production Details

Since late 2011 there have been a series of readings of various versions of Dracula with members of both Hamilton Operatic Society and Carving in Ice; we are pleased to announce that Carving in Ice and Hamilton Operatic Society are joining forces to bring you McNulty’s version of the Gothic tale by Bram Stoker, Dracula (non-musical version).

Workshop Details
Dates:

Workshop 1: Thursday 8th March 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Workshop 2: Sunday 18th March 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Venue: New Place Theatre, the University of Waikato (Entry via Gate 8 Hillcrest Road, Hamilton)


The workshops will involve various movement exercises as well as readings of selected scenes with other participants. Participants will not be required to prepare an individual audition piece. Selected scenes will be available from the 23rd February for those unfamiliar with the script.


Participants may attend one or both workshops. It is not essential to attend both, and participants are not disadvantaged if they should only attend one workshop. Attendance for the full 2 hours of the workshop is required. A full rehearsal schedule will be given out upon arrival.


Please wear comfortable clothes and soft shoes for ease of movement.
